CoLab: Paris – Morning Panel

All CoLab: Paris 'coffeetalks' - by speakers such as Klaus Thomsen, Katie Carguilo, and Morten Münchow - were produced by our content partner Tamper Tantrum. We'll be releasing the videos of these talks over the next months, so we keep fuelling discussion and building an inventory of knowledge. Don't hesitate to share your comments, thoughts or any additional reading links.

We've posted the video and dialogue of each of the 6 speakers that we brought to Paris for our second CoLab event of 2015. However, we've got some additional material for you: Tamper Tantrum also hosted a morning "banter" session with three incredibly different roasters, Stephane Cataldi, Tim Wendelboe and Patrik Rolf Karlsson. Through extended Q&A and discussion — moderated by our host Steve Leighton — these sessions provide great content and additional insight to inquisitive audience members.

The morning panel discussion kicks off with a question on waterepreceding an in-depth response from all panel members on their unique approach to cupping and water choices. Following this the discussion leads onto the confessions of a novice roaster, growth vs quality, pricing structures and much more. Steve makes the connection that all three of the roasters offering their expertise have quality and evolution as the backbone for their practices which remains apparent throughout the Q&A. And in the words of Tamper Tantrum this video is an absolute "must" for anyone keen on making green beans go brown!
